Transylvanian West Fest - April 2027
In 2009 and 2017, in a town between the hills and the sea, we invited you to “Go West” and immerse yourself in Hungarian folk music and dance culture.
In celebration of Keszkenő’s 60th anniversary, we welcome you once again to Perth for our Transylvanian West Fest: an incredible opportunity to learn from Hungarian dancers and musicians from Transylvania.
Join us in Point Peron, Rockingham Western Australia on April 12th - 18th 2027, and immerse yourself in the sounds and steps of two unique villages in Transylvania: Bonchida (Bonțida, Mureș County) and Szászcsávás (Ceuașu de Câmpie, Cluj County).
There will be classes catering to a variety of skill levels. We gather not only as the Hungarian diaspora but extend the invitation to all lovers of folk culture. Join us by completing the registration form, and let us share with you some of the music, dancing and atmosphere that means so much to us!
