The Band
Music seminars will be led by Kedves Zenekar from Csíkszereda & Székelyudvarhely, Transylvania.
Bonchida Teachers
Zoltán & Kata Varga from Méra, Kalotaszeg will lead Bonchida dance workshops.
Zoli and Kata have spent years studying folk dance traditions from across Transylvania. Join us as they bring that depth and passion to the West.
Szászcsávás Teachers
Dávid Ecsedi and Réka Kovács are experienced dancers from Debrecen who will be guiding us through Szászcsávás, and we can’t wait to welcome them to their first tábor in Australia.
Complementing our guests from Hungary will be our own The Transylvaniacs (Sydney) and Hot Paprika (Perth)!
The Venue
The location for Transylvanian West Fest will be Point Peron Camp, Rockingham. It is situated within Shoalwater Islands Marine Park, part of the Gnaala Karla Boodja lands of the Pinjarup Noongar people. Right on the beautiful southwest coast, it’s the perfect setting for chapter three of the WA tábor story!
